Climate and Clothing
Greece has Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine. June is one of the sunniest and warmest months in Greece. The average daily temperature for Thessaloniki during this month can reach 30°C (87°F) or drop to an average minimum temperature of 17°C (63°F). Travelers are advised to pack bright and light comfortable clothes and a light jacket, in case it gets a bit windy especially at night. Non slippery comfortable shoes are necessary, if visitors intend to take part in the excursions and visit archaeological sites. While at the excursions, it is advisable to wear sun-glasses and hat.
Banks
Banks operate from Monday to Thursday from 08:00 – 14:30 and on Friday from 08:00 to 14:00. ATM machines are available 24 hours a day.

Major credit cards (e.g. VISA, Master Card) are accepted in almost every shop and restaurant in Thessaloniki. It is advisable to carry an identity card or passport.

Alternating current, 220 volts, 50 Hz. The wall sockets have two round holes as in continental Europe.

Health Safety
