AUTh student award: 2nd place in the competition entitled "The 3rd Silk Road & Young Dreams - Health: Youth Dream, Social Responsibility"

Αs part of the actions for the Silk Road, in which AUTh participates, Mr. Chatzoglou Panagiotis, a student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, received the second prize in the free online competition of Speech, Music, Photography, Painting in sand and Sculpture, entitled "The 3rd Silk Road & Young Dreams - Health: Youth Dream, Social Responsibility", participating in the music competition with Cretan lyre.

Delegation visit from Moscow State University on 3.12.2019

A delegation visit from Moscow State Pedagogical University was realised at AUTh on 3.12.2019 in order to discuss potential collaboration with Faculty members from the School of English Language and Literature.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Prof. N. Papaioannou, the Vice Rector of Academic  and Student Affairs, Prof. D. Kovaios, Prof. A. Tsangalidis, President of the School of English Language and Literature and Prof.Th. Alexiou, of the same School.

Meeting of the Rector of AUTH with the British Ambassador in Athens

The British Ambassador to Athens, Kate Smith CMG, met the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Nikolaos G. Papaioannou on Friday, November 15, 2019, in AUTh's Rectorate.

The purpose of the meeting was to develop closer links with academic institutions in Great Britain and to explore new perspectives for cooperation with them.

Delegation visit from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan at AUTh on16.10.2019

A three member delegation visit was realised at AUTh from National Tsing Hua University,Taiwan on 16.10.2019 seeking possibilities for a scientific cooperation with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.  

The delegation was comprised by:

Delegation visit fom Sichuan Province, China at AUTh on 11.10.2019

A 6member delagation from Sichuan Province, China visited AUTh on 11.10.2019. Possibilities of a scientific cooperation between AUTh and Universities of Sichuan Province were discussed with the Rector of AUTh, the Vice - Rector of Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. D. Koveos and  G. Karagiannidis, Professor of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Delegation visit from Shanghai International Studies University, China at AUTh between 11 - 15.5.2019

A three memebr delegation from Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) of China  visited the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki between 11 - 15.5.2019 in order to discuss issues related to the establishment of the Confucius Institute in the Aristotle University with the Rectorates and the Committee for the Establishment of the Confucius Institute of AUTh .

On  May 14th  2019, the signing of the  Renewal of Scientific Cooperation Agreement between the two Universities was held at the Senate of the University.

The members of the Chinese delegation were:

Implementation of a Round Table between the Rectorate Authorities and Faculty members of AUTh and a six memeber delegation from CASS at AUTh on 5.7.2018.

A six-member delegation visit from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was paid at AUTh on 5.7.2018  in the frame of the cooperation Agreement between the two Universities. Head of the delegation was Prof. Cai Fang, Vice - President of CASS.
