Subject: International Careers Festival press release
Dear sir or madam,
My name is Maxime Yvenou, intern for the association Giovani Nel Mondo, a NGO based in Rome, Italy. I am contacting you today in order to inquire wether you would be inclined to share with your students our press release for our upcoming International Careers Festival. Please let me describe the nature of this event in a few words. Between March 9th-12th this gathering will see it's 10th edition take place in Rome, drawing attendees from all over the world. The aim of this occurence is to allow the meeting and interaction of talented students and professionals, as well as giving future and recent graduates clues on how to envision their career on an international scale. It comprises four main events, which I will now briefly detail.
The first one is a diplomatic simulation of the United Nations, called RomeMUN. It is the largest event of its kind in Europe, and has been a momentous success throughout the years. Students with an interest in politics, diplomacy and international relations are incentivized to debate the burning issues of our time, draft position papers, following the actual structure of the UN.
The second event is the Business Game, dedicated to persons with a taste for economics, entrepreneurship, management and marketing. It unfolds as a competitive case study of specifically created business issues, all of which is supervised by a carefully selected handful of professionals from renowned companies. The winning team is awarded an opportunity for an interview with one of our partner firms.
The following event is the Press Game, designed for people with a liking for journalism and translation. It plays out on the same model as the Business Game, and also acts as the main source of documentation for the festival.
Coming up next is the International Careers Course, a set of conferences and practical workshops dedicated to globalizing the scope of the attendees's prospects and careers. It acts as a form of guidance on how to have a successful international career.
And last but not least, the International Careers Fair, an area open both to attendees and the public, which fosters the interaction both between students themselves and between students and industry experts. It is divided in two parts : one dedicated to education and another one focused on work experience as well as internships.
To summup all of the above, the festival is a wonderful occasion for networking, discovering new opportunities and interacting with brilliant people from all over the world. It is also a very helpful event to give students the right tools to conceive their future work environment without any state boundaries.
We are happy and proud to say we have the support of numerous prestigious institutions, organisations and companies, all of which can be found here : http://www.internationalcareersfestival.org/partner/1/about-us/partners/59
I have attached a document detailing the nature of the event, the application process and all potential informations that could be needed. The association and I would be infinitely grateful if you could post, print, or spread the word to your students in any way possible.
