Within the framework of the existing Scientific Cooperation Agreement between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and Texas A&M University (USA), we would like to inform you that five (5) funded places are offered to undergraduate students of the aforementioned AUTh Schools who have successfully completed at least their second year of studies and have not exceeded the n+2 limit, in order to undertake a research internship at Texas A&M University from May 20, 2026 to July 31, 2026.
Students are required to cover their own travel expenses, as well as the costs of accommodation, meals, health insurance, etc. According to information provided by the host university, the estimated accommodation cost is approximately $850 per month. The Department of International Relations, with the support of ELKE, offers a scholarship of €3,000 to the five (5) top-ranked students.
The evaluation will be carried out using an algorithm that takes into account:
- the overall grade average,
- the number of completed ECTS credits in relation to the required ECTS credits up to the current semester, and
- English language proficiency.
Further information is available in the attached document.
Interested students must submit their application via the following link: https://eforms.auth.gr/international-relations/blank-form-3-2-411-424-497-555-631-647/ by January 16, 2026.
Among the required supporting documents is the submission (in English) of a list of five (5) Texas A&M University faculty members with whom the applicants wish to collaborate (ENGINEERING STUDENTS ONLY), along with a justification (Student Personal Statement including research interests). On the website Our Departments | Texas A&M University Engineering students can find information about each department and, subsequently, on the right-hand side of the screen (see “People”), search for faculty members. They may review each faculty member’s profile in order to learn about their academic and research work, research interests, publications, and other relevant information.
The Committee of International Relations will proceed with the selection of the most suitable students, and the Department of International Relations will then forward the applications and supporting documents to Texas A&M University (USA).
