Subject: Announcement of “Eugen Ionescu” Doctoral and Postdoctoral Research Scholarships (2025-2026)

The Department of International Relations of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) informs doctoral candidates and postdoctoral fellows of the AUTh about the announcement of “Eugen Ionescu” research scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026, which are granted by Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).

The “Eugen Ionescu” Scholarship Program aims to finance mobility periods (research/training) for the implementation of doctoral or postdoctoral research work at AUF member institutions located in countries of the Black Sea region or Central and Eastern Europe. The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as a collaborating institution, may host or send fellows.

The call is addressed to doctoral and postdoctoral candidates.

The mobility may last from 3 to 6 months (for a doctoral degree) and from 1 to 3 months (for a postdoctoral degree).

The selected fellows will carry out research work and/or training at the host institution, with the aim of completing or advancing their doctoral thesis or postdoctoral work, respectively. This includes work in laboratories, use of specialized equipment, access to libraries and collaboration with academic supervisors.
