The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), operating within the framework of its existing Memorandum of Understanding and Internship Agreement with the University of Alabama, USA, is pleased to announce the availability of four (4) internship placements for the Spring 2026 period.
Key Details and Eligibility
- Placement Dates: Selected students will undertake their internship at the University of Alabama from April 6, 2026, to April 24, 2026.
- Eligibility: The opportunity is open to current AUTh students who have successfully completed at least their second year of studies and have not exceeded the standard “n+2” program duration limit.
- Application Limit: Students are permitted to apply for a maximum of two (2) different placements, and a separate online application must be submitted for each choice.
Financial Information
- Scholarship: The Department of International Relations will actively seek to secure a €3,000 scholarship for the successful candidates.
- Self-Funded Option: Students who wish to participate without receiving the scholarship are also invited to apply, provided they meet the academic requirements and available placement limits.
- Student Costs: Participants are required to cover all associated costs, including travel, accommodation, meals, health insurance, and other related expenses. An attached file provides an estimate of these costs.
Application and Selection Process
- Detailed Information: An attached Excel file contains the full list of available places, their specific subject areas, and the requirements unique to each position.
- Evaluation Metrics: Candidate selection will be conducted using an algorithm that objectively measures:
- The overall Grade Point Average (GPA).
- The ratio of completed ECTS credits compared to the total required up to the current semester.
- The certified level of language proficiency.

- Final Approval: The Committee of International Relations will select the most suitable candidates. The complete application files will then be forwarded by the Department of International Relations to the University of Alabama, USA, for final confirmation.
