The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) actively participated in the Study Fair organized by the French Institute on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Within the framework of the event, a high-level working meeting on university cooperation in Southeast Europe was held at the French Institute of Thessaloniki.
The meeting was coordinated by the Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in Greece, Mr. Matthieu Abgrall. Discussions focused on enhancing mobility and joint initiatives—such as Capacity Building in Higher Education, Joint Master’s degrees, and European University Alliances—among institutions from France, Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Albania.
AUTh was represented by the Head of the Department of International Relations, Ms. Dimitra Mentekidou, who engaged in talks with Directors of International Relations and representatives from institutions including the Mediterranean University (Tirana), St. Kliment Ohridski University (Sofia), and Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (Skopje). Furthermore, strategic networking meetings were held with representatives from the following French institutions: Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, Université Marie & Louis Pasteur – EIPHI Graduate School, INP Bretagne – ENIB, Université Catholique de Lille – ESPOL, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3.
This participation is part of AUTh’s ongoing internationalization strategy, strengthening its ties with leading European institutions and fostering academic cooperation throughout the Southeast European region.
