Within the framework of the strategic partnership between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania, one (1) scholarship is offered to an AUTh student for participation in the 54th Edition of the Summer Studies Program “Romania – Language and Civilization”. The program will take place from July 15 to July 31, 2026.
As a token of appreciation for the cooperation between the two universities, the scholarship includes accommodation in shared rooms, 2 daily meals (breakfast & lunch), course materials, a cultural program, and assistance throughout the program.
However, the participating student will be required to cover the following costs at their own expense:
- a) International transportation to and from Iași
- b) Personal expenses
- c) Related costs for an optional 1-2 day cultural trip (if interested)
Interested students are kindly requested to complete the attached “Application-Form-2026_Summer-School_UAIC-grantees-EN.doc” and submit it to the Department of International Relations (internat-rel@auth.gr) till Monday, April 13, 2026, together with:
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Motivation letter (in English)
- Letter of recommendation (written and signed by university teaching staff)
- Τranscript of records (in English)
- English (mandatory) and Romanian (if available) language proficiency certificates.
Upon selection from the Committee of International Relations, he/she will be requested to provide a copy of their passport (the page containing personal details and photo), which must be available no later than April 27, 2026. Candidate selection will be conducted using an algorithm that objectively measures the overall Grade Point Average (GPA), the ratio of completed ECTS credits compared to the total required up to the current semester and the certified level of language proficiency.
