On Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, a delegation from Zaporizhia National University in Ukraine, consisting of three faculty members and the Consul – Head of the Consular Authority of the Embassy of Ukraine, visited the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the potential development of academic and educational cooperation between the two universities.
Participants in the meeting included the Chair of the Department of History and Archaeology, Professor Athanasios Semoglou, the Consul – Head of the Consular Authority of the Embassy of Ukraine, Mr. Shkvyra Yevhen, the Chair of the Department of Ancient and Modern History of Ukraine at Zaporizhia National University, Dr. Galyna Turchenko, the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of History and International Relations, Dr. Iryna Kryvko, Assistant Professor in the Department of Ancient and Modern History of Ukraine, Dr. Kateryna Petrova and the Head of the Department of International Relations of AUTh, Ms. Dimitra Mendekidou.
During the meeting, the participants explored the prospects for future cooperation between the two institutions – especially with the Department of History and Archaeology – and discussed the possibility of student exchange programs.
