Delegation visit from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, China on 25.5.2026

On May 25th, 2026, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki had the honor of welcoming a delegation of academics from the Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, China, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic collaborations.

The visit commenced with an official meeting at the “K. Karatheodori” Administration Building (Epicur Room), where the foreign delegation met with AUTh representatives. Representing AUTh were Professor Grigorios Zarotiadis (Member of the Governing Council of AUTh, School of Economics), Professor Christos Frangonikolopoulos (Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences), Professor Christina Boutsouki (School of Economics), Professor Roula Tsokalidou (Director of the Confucius Institute, School of Early Childhood Education), Ms. Aikaterini Kalliaridou (Director of Academic Units), and Ms. Dimitra Mentekidou (Head of the International Relations Department).

The delegation from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance included Chancellor Prof. Xie Chao, Prof. Li Peigong (Dean of the School of Accounting), Director Xie Danyang (Human Resources Office), Director Yao Jie (International Office), and Director Li Yujia (Student Affairs Office).

During the meeting, AUTh’s operational framework and internationalisation initiatives were presented. Discussions focused on prospects for enhancing academic cooperation, as well as opportunities for expanding student and research exchanges in the fields of economics and accounting.

Following the conclusion of the talks, a luncheon was hosted in honor of the delegation. The visit concluded in a highly positive and constructive atmosphere, reaffirming AUTh’s commitment to promoting international cooperation and outward-looking strategies in higher education.
