As part of the strategy for extroversion and internationalization of its academic programs, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in the Senate Hall, with the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology in China. The MoU was signed by the Rector of AUTH, Professor Charalambos Feidas, and the Vice President of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, HE Li.
Also present at the meeting were the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, International Relations, and Extroversion, Professor Georgios Tzetzis, Professor Eugenios Katsanidis from the School of Agriculture, and Assistant Professor Agapi Doulgeraki.
During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities for collaboration in the fields of education and research. Specifically, they explored the prospects for student exchanges, the development of joint research programs, and the exchange of Teaching and Research Staff (TRS) members.
The Memorandum of Understanding lays the groundwork for a long-term collaboration between the two institutions, particularly with AUTH’s School of Agriculture. Among other things, it includes the development of joint educational and research programs, collaboration on research projects such as FoodigIT, the promotion of student and staff mobility, information sharing regarding the educational and scientific capacities of both institutions, and the joint exploration of new areas of mutual interest.
