The School of Modern Greek Language of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki has been offering courses in Greek language and culture to foreigners and expats (Greeks from abroad) since 1970 and operates ever since under the supervision of the Faculty of Philosophy. The School aims at the teaching of modern Greek language and culture through various educational, scientific and cultural activities and organizes courses of modern Greek language, exams for the attainment in Greek language, tailor made courses and training seminars. Approximately 1,500 students from more than 100 countries enroll each academic year, both in onsite and online courses.
