On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) welcomed Professor of Law, Mr. Esteban Yangüez Papagenadio, representing the National University of Córdoba (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba – UNC) in Argentina. The visit took place in the context of exploring opportunities for future academic collaboration between the two institutions.

Professor Papagenadio met with the Head of the Department of International Relations at AUTh, Ms. Dimitra Mentekidou. During the meeting, Mr. Papagenadio strongly expressed the National University of Córdoba’s intent to enter into a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement with AUTh. The purpose of such an agreement is the development of a fruitful relationship that will enhance the international presence, student and staff mobility, as well as the research opportunities for both universities.

It is worth noting that the National University of Córdoba is one of the oldest and most recognized public universities in Latin America. It hosts over 170,000 students and comprises 15  Schools, while actively participating in global networks and cooperation projects. The potential conclusion of a partnership with such a significant institution from Argentina is expected to open new avenues for the internationalization of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
