On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) welcomed Dr. Victoria Trofimov, Vice-Rector of International Relations at the University of Political and Economic European Studies “Constantin Stere” of Moldova (USPEE), and Dr. Izolda Matchutadze, Coordinator of the CARE SEA project from Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University of Georgia (BSU).
The visit took place within the framework of the 3rd Scientific Meeting and related events of the project “Cooperation and Awareness for Pollution-free and Environmentally Sustainable Black Sea – CARE SEA.” During their stay, the two representatives met with Ms. Dimitra Mendekidou, Head of AUTh’s Department of International Relations.
During the meeting, Dr. Trofimov expressed her university’s interest in establishing a bilateral cooperation agreement with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At the same time, Dr. Matchutadze discussed possibilities for strengthening the scientific and academic collaboration between BSU and AUTh, particularly through joint research initiatives and student and staff exchange programs.
The meeting took place in a constructive and positive atmosphere, reaffirming AUTh’s commitment to fostering multi-level partnerships with universities in the Black Sea region and promoting international academic networking and cooperation.
