Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Alabama laid the foundations for inter – university cooperation in specific fields on Tuesday May 6 2014 at a workshop held at the Senate Hall of A.U.Th, under the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two academic institutions.
Professor Luoheng Han noted that there was much interest for these joint research projects, demonstrated by the fact that 40 professors applied to participate in the visit in Thessaloniki.
The U.S. Consul in Thessaloniki, Robert Sanders, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement between the two universities…, stressing that such agreements contribute to the production of knowledge and the cultivation of understanding and friendship among peoples.
The Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Spyros Pavlides — who visited the University of Alabama from 13 to 22 March 2014 — also expressed support for this initiative.
During their stay in Thessaloniki the representatives of the American university will have the opportunity for individual meetings and meet with their respective Departments of Aristotle University and visit museums, attractions, and the archaeological sites of Vergina and Pella .
