Intensive course in Greek language and culture for seniors and recent graduates of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Boston For the 18th year in a row, the Faculty of Theology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is offering an intensive, 3-week long (June
4-23) course in Greek, consisting of 60 hours of in-class instruction and a series of educational field trips to Mount Athos and Macedonian cultural monuments. The program is directed by Professor Dr. Dimitra Koukoura and is part of the broader academic collaboration between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Holy Cross is the educational center for future clergy and lay leaders of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, whose ministry is informed and enhanced by their continued ties to Greece. This year's 25 participants are accompanied by the Thessalonian Dr. Grammenos Karanos, Holy Cross Professor of Byzantine Music.
