Αγαπητοί συνάδελφοι,
Σας προωθούμε την παρακάτω αλληλογραφία, από την Ακαδημία aac for Architectural Culture, του Αμβούργου της Γερμανίας, η οποία ιδρύθηκε από το Ίδρυμα gmp. H ακαδημία καλεί τους φοιτητές και τους πρόσφατους αποφοίτους της αρχιτεκτονικής, να συμμετάσχουν στο εργαστήριο με τίτλο: “USA Special Workshop” και με επίκεντρο το Κτήριο της ExxonMobil στο Χιούστον του Τέξας “. Το εργαστήριο πραγματοποιείται σε συνεργασία με το Charles Renfro of Diller Scofidio + Renfro στη Νέας Υόρκη, από 2 έως 27 Ιουνίου 2025.
Οι φοιτητές θα λάβουν καθοδήγηση από συνεργάτες του Ιδρύματος gmp, θα παρακολουθήσουν διαλέξεις από προσκεκλημένους ομιλητές και θα συμμετάσχουν σε κριτικές από κορυφαίους αρχιτέκτονες και ειδικούς.
Κάθε συμμετέχων έχει το δικαίωμα να υποβάλει αίτηση για υποτροφίες που καλύπτουν τα δίδακτρα, τα υλικά εργασίας και τη διαμονή στο Αμβούργο και στο Χιούστον. Οι αιτήσεις είναι ανοιχτές έως τις 10 Φεβρουαρίου 2025.

Subject: Invitation to the aac International Architecture Workshop in Houston & Hamburg – June 2025
Dear International Relations Team,
I hope this email finds you well!
I am reaching out on behalf of the aac Academy for Architectural Culture, a private architecture school established by the gmp Foundation.
Founded by gmp architects—the firm behind iconic projects like Berlin Tegel Airport and Berlin Central Station— the foundation and aac were created to foster architectural innovation through international collaboration and mentorship.
From 02 June to 27 June 2025, we invite architecture students and recent graduates to join our USA Special Workshop, focused on the ExxonMobil Building in Houston, Texas.
This workshop will explore ways to transform this icon of fossil fuel monopoly towards a carbon free community, offering participants a hands-on design experience with a real-world architectural challenge, developing lots of additional skills, knowledge and connections.
The workshop brief is developed by aac, Hamburg, in collaboration with Charles Renfro of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, New York. Houston Days are organised in collaboration with Rice University School of Architecture, Houston, Texas.
Students will receive mentorship from gmp partners, attend guest lectures, and participate in critiques by leading architects and experts.
Every participant is eligible to apply for scholarships covering tuition, working materials, and accommodation in Hamburg and Houston. Applications are open until February 10, 2025.
