Within the framework of the Scientific Cooperation Agreement that A.U.Th. has established with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Ph.D. Candidate, Athanasios Syroplakis from the Department of History and Archaeology had the opportunity to participate in the “International Dialogue of Young Historians” workshop, organized by the Chinese Academy of History, in Beijing, on June 19, 2024. The Scientific Cooperation Agreement paved the way for the young researcher to travel to China at the organizers’ expense and share his research with an international audience.
During the workshop, the Ph.D. Candidate presented his research work, exchanged views with young scientists from various countries outside of China, such as Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Thailand and Russia, and created valuable contacts for his future academic career. His experience in Beijing was a unique opportunity to engage with the Chinese academic community, broaden his scientific horizons, and promote A.U.Th.’s research at an international level.
A.U.Th. congratulates Mr. Athanasios Syroplakis on his success and expresses its belief that his participation in the conference, within the framework of the Agreement with CASS, will be the starting point for a brilliant scientific career.
