PPS “Medical Research Methodology”

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Department of Medicine is offering since 2015 a Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Research Methodology delivered in English. It is one of the most popular and competitive MSc programs and the first postgraduate program at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki offered entirely in English. It is aimed at a wide range of scientists (including physicians, dentists, biologists, pharmacists, veterinarians, nurses, statisticians, psychologists, sociologists, health economists, mathematicians, engineers, pharmaceutical industry professionals etc.) who want to acquire skills in interdisciplinary cutting-edge health research methodologies. Main aim of the course is the training of a wide spectrum of scientists on cutting-edge methodologies and technologies that will assist them in planning and conducting research programs, thus advancing their academic and professional career. Students are supported to develop skills for design and data analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research, critically evaluate health research, prepare manuscripts for scientific journal publications, and apply the principles of evidence-based practice in different health care settings. Following completion of the MSc students can either continue studying for a PhD degree or pursue a career path in healthcare, industry, academia, government, or regulatory agencies.
