The Balkan Universities Association Network, of which AUTh is a member, organized a competition entitled “Search and Rescue Competition” among students of the Network’s universities in Turkey, specifically from May 20 to 26, 2024, at the Gökçetepe Natural Park in the Keşan area of ​​Edirne . AUTh was deservedly represented by winning third place by nine students of our University.

In statements, the students of AUTh expressed their enthusiasm for the unforgettable experience that left behind in addition to a special memory and many new friendships in the context of noble rivalry.

Their experience proved that in search and rescue necessary conditions are the knowledge of foreign languages, the rapid reaction and help of neighboring countries and the assistance of people from different professional and educational backgrounds.

The primary objective of the Balkan Universities Association (BUA) is to shape an innovative vision for the future of higher education through universities or research centers in the Balkan region on the basis of common values, encouraging intercultural dialogue, taking into account the needs of the time and to create a scientific network in the fields of language, culture, art, history, economy, education and sports and to promote collaborative scientific projects in these fields.
